In The Spirit of the Owl I share my own transformative experience through which I found healing, hope, and renewed purpose.  Since we are bombarded daily by a media and culture of death, destruction, and depletion, I believe that mindful grief work is an essential spiritual tool for our times.

The Spirit of the Owl manifests the truth that walking the path of grief can be a loving gift as it lays the groundwork for metamorphosis that unfolds after we move through five stages of spiritual recovery to reinvent the reality of our connection with our God. The same is true of our political disappointments, as when our Presidential candidate fails to win, our country goes to war or allows injustices such as the suffering of victims before and after a hurricane. Such losses can be the alchemy to transfigure our apathy into hopeful, compassionate activism.

I am available to speak about this topic of Transforming Grief to Gift, as well as my new motivational video that explores the spiritual activism to which we are all called, The Leadership of Love. It explains the urgent responsibility that each of us must accept to step forward to become loving leaders in our communities and describes the dire need for an infusion of the feminine principles . My ideas are based on my political experience both outside and in the power structures that be, as an environmental and neighborhood advocate and a City Councilwoman.
